The Highland Park Thorfinn from the Warrior Collection is a collector's item for all whiskey enthusiasts. This whiskey comes from the northernmost distillery in Scotland - Highland Park on the island of Orkney. The Warrior Collection is a special series in which each bottling is dedicated to a major figure in Viking history. The Vikings traveled almost all over the world with their long boats. Thorfinn was a man of great power and influence who in his time controlled the entire Orkney Isles. The Orkney Saga described him as a great chief, the greatest and strongest of all men, whose remains are buried in St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney.
This is the last and most exclusive bottling from the Warrior Edition. The highest percentage of sherry from the series was used for the whisky. The packaging and the bottle are also unique.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Cedarwood, camphor, mango, coriander, spicy and smoky with vanilla beans
Palate: Very complex, ginger root to the fore followed by smoky oak.
Finish: complex, persistent spice and smoke
