Dalmore Constellation Collection Vintage 1981 Cask 4 with 0.7l and 54% vol.
1981 was the year of distillation for this Highland single malt from Dalmore. Double storage under the eagle eye of master distiller Richard Paterson makes this bottling a worthy part of the Constellation Collection. First the whiskey was stored in American white oak casks for 26 years and then in 2007 it was transferred to an Amoroso sherry cask to get a wonderful finish.
The Amoroso Cask originally held Oloroso Sherry and was chosen to add another facet to the Dalmore distillery character. After four years, the result was an exceptional 30-year-old single malt Scotch, bottled in a strictly limited edition of 787. We would like to offer you the decanter with the number 46 here.
Color:Dark amber gold with glittering honey yellow.
Nose:Warm, seductive aromas of honey pear and milk chocolate followed by the scent of crushed almonds, citrus, bergamot and warm berries.
Palate:Hints of cherry, plum and tangerine give way to freshly baked bread, caramelized peaches and apricots.
